Berry-Nana Ice Blocks

One a hot summers day, there isn’t much better (in my opinion) that a fresh, sweet icy-pole. These summer berry-nana icy-poles are no exception.

Makes 18-20 cookies

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (approx. 3 oranges, depending how juicy they are)

  • 250g strawberries (1 punnet)

  • 1 banana

METHOD

  1. Squeeze the oranges. Cut the tops off the strawberries and roughly chop. Peel the banana and roughly chop.

  2. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

  3. Pour into ice-block moulds, put the stick in the centre of each ice-block and place flat in the freezer to set (minimum 4 hours).

  4. Enjoy!

TIPS

  • This recipe is best made during Spring when the strawberries are in season in Australia.

  • When choosing the best banana for this recipe, make sure it’s ripe (but not over-ripe). If the banana is too under-ripe, the taste can be chalky.
