Berry-Nana Ice Blocks
One a hot summers day, there isn’t much better (in my opinion) that a fresh, sweet icy-pole. These summer berry-nana icy-poles are no exception.
Makes 18-20 cookies
INGREDIENTS
1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (approx. 3 oranges, depending how juicy they are)
250g strawberries (1 punnet)
1 banana
METHOD
Squeeze the oranges. Cut the tops off the strawberries and roughly chop. Peel the banana and roughly chop.
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into ice-block moulds, put the stick in the centre of each ice-block and place flat in the freezer to set (minimum 4 hours).
Enjoy!
TIPS
This recipe is best made during Spring when the strawberries are in season in Australia.
When choosing the best banana for this recipe, make sure it’s ripe (but not over-ripe). If the banana is too under-ripe, the taste can be chalky.
